Volunteers Wanted!

Cart drivers needed during outdoor season!

This convenience is offered for families that come out to the fields who are unable to make the long walk down to see their loved one(s) play. With our cart service and amazing volunteers like YOU, we are able to provide rides to the fields so they can see their loved one(s) play! This is one of the most rewarding volunteers shifts at the fields! Sign up to volunteer here!


All parents and coaches are invited to sign up AND we JUST added some pretty exciting incentives!!

  • If you cover ONE shift, you get a free t-shirt!
  • If you cover 2 consecutive shifts, you get lunch from the concession stand (hot dog, chips & drink)!
  • If you cover 10 shifts, you get TWO tickets to a Sporting KC Game!!

Help setup fields preseason and take down fields postseason.

This activity truly takes a village! The saying that "many hands make light work" doesn't do this justice. Our volunteers help move goal posts, add/remove nets, move benches, add/remove sponsor banners, check field boxes, and all kinds of other work to keep our fields at Legacy looking amazing. Have a passion for impacting kid's lives? Consider coaching!

All Sporting Lee's Summit coaches volunteers! We couldn't run this league without them. For new coaches, some training is provided, resources are available online and there are mentors who can help kick start practices. Sometimes new coaches are needed to form new teams. You can indicate your are interested during the player registration process. Email Kristy Watson at admin@sportingls.org for more details. Please note, not all candidate requests result in getting the role. Requests will be reviewed by Division Reps, Assistant Commissioners and/or the VP of Recreational.

Join our Board!

Do you have opinions on the direction of the club? Have ideas on what can be done to enhance player opportunities, support referees, add additional feedback to improve how things are done, make connections with other coaches? Some responsibilities include getting the teams set up on draft night, getting information to coaches, resolving conflicts in the division and serving as field marshal a few times each season. Consider joining the other volunteers on the Board to keep Sporting Lee's Summit the largest Recreational club in MO!
