Girls/Boys U16: 8/1/2010 - 7/31/2011

Girls/Boys U15: 8/1/2011 - 7/31/2012

Girls/Boys U14: 8/1/2012 - 7/31/2013

Girls/Boys U13: 8/1/2013 - 7/31/2014

Girls/Boys U12: 8/1/2014 - 7/31/2015

Girls/Boys U11: 8/1/2015 - 7/31/2016

Here is all the information you need to know for SLS Competitive Try-Outs:

When: June 5th, 2025 - June 7th, 2026

When:

Date - Friday night June 5th

Location - Legacy Park Soccer Fields (Fields location will be assigned as we get closer to tryouts)

Time - 6 pm to 7:30 pm

Date - Saturday June 6th

Location - Legacy Park Soccer Fields (Fields location will be assigned as we get closer to tryouts)

Time - 9 am to 10:30 am

Date - Sunday June 7th

Location - Legacy Park Soccer Fields (Fields location will be assigned as we get closer to tryouts)

Time - 9 am to 10 am

Here are some important information about competitive tryouts and playing for a competitive team:

• Not all players who try-out for a competitive team will be offered a roster spot
• Sporting Lee's Summit competitive coaches are volunteers and are not paid
• A commitment to a competitive team is an annual contract (August 1st, 2026 - May 31st, 2027)
• Your commitment is non-refundable once you have paid the club fee (try-outs are free)
• All teams manage their own expenses and costs are variable by team
• Competitive teams are organized by birth year (you can play for an older team, but not younger)
• It is recommended that you attend the earliest tryout session for your age group

Some tryout sessions may be cancelled if available teams have reached their roster limit

Player ID Sessions!

Sporting LS Competitive ID Camp:

Are you currently a recreational player that has been thinking about going competitive? Well Sporting Lee's Summit competitive coaches want to visit with you. We are hosting an ID Camp for players to come out and visit with each coach. The coaches will show you some of the drills they run at their practices. Come out and join us for some fun and learn some soccer skills along the way.

 What To Know About Tryouts

• Tryouts are free! 
• To register, use the link above "REGISTER: 2026-27 Competitive Tryouts"
• You are encouraged to attend all days of try-outs
• Offers are not made to all players who attend tryouts. Offers are made at the discretion of the coaches with open roster spots. 
• Some teams may fill before the end of the weekend (emails will go out to those sessions that are canceled)
• Tryouts will be held at the Legacy Park Soccer Complex
• Available ages are listed in the table to the left. If we add any teams between now and try-outs, they will be added to this page.
• Walk-ups are allowed, but it is highly encouraged that you pre-register for the tryout session you can attend. Some sessions may be cancelled if attendance is low or if teams fill their available roster spots. Also, coaches are given a list of all pre-registered players makes evaluating your child easier for them.
• If there are any changes to the scheduled times, or if sessions are cancelled, you will be contacted at the email associated with your registration. Please check the email you used to register for tryouts on the day of your tryout. Only pre-registered players will be notified of tryout cancellations. 

Checking in for Tryouts

• For the Legacy Park Try-Out Location - You will check-in at the Main concession stand near fields 1 & 2
• You will be provided a penny with a number to wear during the tryout. It is suggested that you wear a shirt with a number on the back in case there aren't enough penny's.
• Please arrive 30 minutes before your tryout time to check-in.
