Sporting LS Youth Competitive Registration
Sporting Lee’s Summit Soccer Club (SLS) offers competitive soccer program for players who demonstrate advanced soccer skills and have a desire to pursue a higher level of play. Base teams are normally formed from the recreational division as players and coaches exhibit continued success there.
A SLS Competitive coach is an unpaid coach and must pass a background check. A SLS competitive coach will participate in SLS tryouts to fill a team’s roster.
The competitive teams compete in the Heartland Soccer League, with games scheduled at various locations throughout the Metro: Legacy Park, Overland Park Soccer Complex, Swope Park, Wyandotte Sporting Fields, or Heritage Park.

For 2019-2020, Club fees of $130 per player will apply to all Sporting Lee’s Summit Competitive Players (includes primary carding fee).
Sporting Lee’s Summit reserves the right to provide registration information to Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation and Sporting KC. Sporting LS Members may “opt out” of future notifications from either organization if contacted via email.
Team Registration – League Play –
Fall 2019 – Competitive Age Division will be determined by BIRTH YEAR according to US Soccer Age Matrix.
- For example, 2008 birth dates will fall into U12 (12 and Under) Division
Sporting LS is a member club of the Heartland Soccer League. Our competitive teams will register for league play through the Heartland Soccer website. Registration for Fall Heartland League opens on May 31, 2019 and team registration deadline is NOON on June 28, 2019.

New teams — supply team packet with USYSA Waiver and copy of birth certificate for each player in addition to emailed JPEG photo.
Payment of all club fees ($130 per player) and carding fees for coaches/managers/dual card players should be included in team packet with required documents.
Player’s primary card fee is included with club fee. Card fee is $20.00 per card for coaches and managers. ($10 for secondary player cards, if any)
Competitive Team Player and Coach registrations and fees are managed by each individual Competitive Team
Carding/Player Pass/Individual Registration — RETURNING Teams
Returning teams – Notify firstname.lastname@example.org of any players dropping from the team for 2019–2020. All NEW players need to submit a signed USYSA waiver and medical release and a copy of birth certificate in order to be added to the team, in addition to player photo.

Coach Background Check
All coaches (includes any assistant coach) that are listed on the roster must have the US Soccer “F” License (minimum requirement) and current background check through GotSoccer (This is done as a part of the MYSA or KSYSA carding process)
