Competitive Tryouts - June 7th - June 8th, 2024
We have openings in the following ages:
U10 (2015) - Boys
U11 (2014) - Boys and Girls
U12 (2013) - Boys and Girls
U13 (2012) - Boys only
U14 (2011) - Girls Only
Here is all the information you need to know for SLS Competitive Try-Outs:
When:
June 7th, 2024 - June 8th, 2024
Friday, June 7th 6pm - 7:30pm at Legacy Park Soccer Fields (Check-In begins at 5:30pm)
Saturday, June 8th from 8am-9:30am at Legacy Park Soccer Fields (Check-in begins at 7:30am)

Here is some important information about competitive tryouts and playing for a competitive team:
- Not all players who try-out for a competitive team will be offered a roster spot
- Sporting Lee's Summit competitive coaches are volunteers and are not paid
- A commitment to a competitive team is an annual contract (August 1st, 2024 - May 31st, 2025)
- Your commitment is non-refundable once you have paid the club fee (try-outs are free)
- All teams manage their own expenses and costs are variable by team
- Competitive teams are organized by birth year (you can play for an older team, but not younger)
- It is recommended that you attend the earliest tryout session for your age group
- Some tryout sessions may be cancelled if available teams have reached their roster limit

Competitive Age Division will be determined by BIRTH YEAR according to US Soccer Age Matrix.
- Players are allowed to play in an older age group or the same as the year they were born.

Player ID Sessions
Sporting LS Competitive ID Camp:
Are you currently a recreational player that has been thinking about going competitive? Well Sporting Lee's Summit competitive coaches want to visit with you. We are hosting an ID Camp for players to come out and visit with each coach. The coaches will show you some of the drills they run at their practices. Come out and join us for some fun and learn some soccer skills along the way.

2011 - U14 (not participating in the ID Camp but will be holding try-outs)
2012 - No Team Available

What To Know About Tryouts
- Tryouts are free!
- To register, use the link above "REGISTER: 2024-25 Competitive Tryouts"
- You are encouraged to attend all days of try-outs
- Offers are not made to all players who attend tryouts. Offers are made at the discretion of the coaches with open roster spots.
- Some teams may fill before the end of the weekend (emails will go out to those sessions that are canceled)
- Tryouts will be held at the Legacy Park Soccer Complex
- Available ages are listed in the table to the left. If we add any teams between now and June 7thth, they will be added to this page.
- Walk-ups are allowed, but it is highly encouraged that you pre-register for the tryout session you can attend. Some sessions may be cancelled if attendance is low or if teams fill their available roster spots. Also, coaches are given a list of all pre-registered players makes evaluating your child easier for them.
- If there are any changes to the scheduled times, or if sessions are cancelled, you will be contacted at the email associated with your registration. Please check the email you used to register for tryouts on the day of your tryout. Only pre-registered players will be notified of tryout cancellations.
Checking-In for Tryouts
- For the Legacy Park Try-Out Location - You will check-in at the Main concession stand near fields 1 & 2
- You will be provided a penny with a number to wear during the tryout. It is suggested that you wear a shirt with a number on the back in case there aren't enough penny's.
- Please arrive 30 minutes before your tryout time to check-in.
