Sporting LS Academy, Competitive and Recreational Teams:
You are invited to come out to the Men’s Annual Crosstown Showdown soccer game between the Lee's Summit Tigers and the Lee's Summit North Broncos which is being held on Thursday, October 5 at Lee's Summit High School. JV Game starts at 5pm and the Varsity game will begin at 6:30pm.
Crosstown Showdown is an annual benefit soccer game between LSHS and LSN men’s soccer teams, aimed at promoting soccer sportsmanship in Lee’s Summit while helping the community. This year the event will benefit the Melanie Grace Foundation. This foundation was formed in memory of Melanie Grace Lindmark, born on August 27, 1998. In November, 2002 she was diagnosed with an extremely rare cancer as a four year old and passed away March 31st, 2005 after a long and courageous battle. She was a sweet, fun-loving little girl who touched so many lives. The Melanie Grace Foundation is being formed and will help local families defray the costs of their child’s cancer treatment. Together with your support, we can make a difference!
LSHS and LSNHS are honored to be partnering with the Melanie Grace Foundation. There will be event t-shirts for sale ($10), and Raffle Tickets for various sporting events throughout KC, Various Gift Baskets, & More!
Come join the Lee's Summit soccer community for this fun event! Admission for adults is $5 and students $3.
We look forward to seeing many Sporting LS families at LSHS on October 5th!
