Sporting LS families,

This email is a follow-up to the communication sent out on 3/25/20. Thank you for your patience while we worked out details for issuing credits/refunds.

While we anxiously await the opportunity to continue league play in the fall, we will apply a prorated credit for 80% of the Spring 2020 registration fee for all youth and adult players, excluding high school. Because the high school division had not started league play and had not received uniforms, they will be issued a credit for 100% of the Spring 2020 registration fee. No further action is required. Once processed, credits will show on your SSU Play account and can be applied to any future Sporting Lee’s Summit program registrations.

In these unprecedented times, we understand that not everyone is in a situation where they can wait to use a credit in the future and would prefer to receive a refund instead. We have provided an option to receive the refund amount rather than an account credit; However, you must “opt-in” and complete the Refund Request by 4/5/20.  If you are in a position where you would like to Opt-Out of Credit or Refund, we would be grateful to apply these funds towards field maintenance, water, electric and other ongoing expenses not covered by our agreement with Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we are all processing through these uncertain times.  Please allow us up to thirty business days for processing to be completed.  In the meantime, visit our Facebook page to participate in online competitions and other activities to keep your players active and healthy while they are off the field.

To summarize:

We look forward to the day we can all get back on the field!

Thank you,

Sporting Lee’s Summit Soccer Club

With your help, we can maintain our goal of providing a fun, safe atmosphere where kids can play soccer.

Volunteer Opportunities

Division Representative

Serve on the board and represent the coaches in your division. Some responsibilities include getting the teams set up on draft night, getting information to the coaches, resolving conflicts in the division and serving as field marshal a few times each season.

If you would like to be considered for this position, please email

Cart Driver

As you all know, games days are very busy at Legacy and we strive to make it as easy and fun for our guests and players as possible. We are in need of volunteers to help drive the cart and are looking for volunteers to sign-up for the rest of the season!!  Our cart drivers help drive friends and family members that may have trouble walking the distance or just need some additional help to and/or from the field to watch their favorite soccer player(s).
