Sporting LS Stripes (2-5y)
Sporting Lees Summit Stripes is offered in partnership with Sporting KC. It is a fun and safe learning environment for boys and girls (2-5y) to be introduced and engaged with soccer at its earliest foundation. We are offering 3 options for Thursdays: 10:00am, 5:30pm & 6:30pm. All sessions will be held at ZSports located at 707 Doc Henry Rd, Greenwood, MO.
Spring Session 1: 3/8, 3/15, 3/29, and 4/5 (No session 3/22 due to Spring Break)
Spring Session 2: 4/19, 4/26, 5/3, and 5/10
Argyle Stripes (2-3y) – PARENT/ CHILD CLASS (2/3 years) Toddlers (with the assistance of parent or guardian) engage in activities that focus on balance, coordination, sensorimotor skills and curiosity. Classes include simple-structured games as well as free-form learning environments. Through basic movements, exercises and exploratory behavior, your child will build confidence based on repetition and discovery in order to foster trust with their instructor. Each class will be based on repetition while introducing (1) new activity each week.
Sporting Blue Stripes (3-4y) – BEGINNER (3/4 years) Children will engage in activities that focus on the fundamental skills of soccer in the most basic form. Classes include basic structured games where children will learn through movement, imagination and story-telling. Players will practice basic tasks and participate in imaginative games all while learning the game of soccer at its foundation. Each class is based on repetition as well as introduce (1-2) new activities every week in order to nurture independence and build confidence.
Indigo Stripes (4-5y) – ADVANCED (4/5 Years) Players will be engaged in activities that focus on basic soccer skills as well as an introduction to small-sided games through non-competitive play. Classes include structured activities and games where children will begin to build relationships and establish trust with their teammates. Through team-building concepts, your child will practice basic soccer skills and begin applying them to game like scenarios.
Youth Recreational League Player Registration (PreK-High School)
Register online January 1st – January 17th. A printable registration form is available by clicking the link below. Please print the registration form and follow the instructions to ensure placement on a team. Registration forms can also be found at the UPS Store on Melody Lane starting in June for the Fall season and in January for the Spring season. If the form is not available by this time please email us. A $10 late fee will be charged for all registrations received after 11 p.m., on January 17th, 2018. Late registrations are not guaranteed placement. If you are not placed, the registration fee will be refunded.
Spring Rec Soccer is for PreK (entering Kindergarten Fall 2018) through High School.
Spring 2018 Game Dates: March 10 – May 13th (No games March 17th, March 31st or May 5th (excluding PreK/Kindergarten)
Spring 2018 Make Up Dates: April 15th and April 29th
Spring 2018 Tournament: May 12th-13th (Make Up May 19th-20th)
Youth Winter Indoor League
The Winter Indoor League is an open league designed to give Sporting Lee’s Summit coaches additional training opportunities for their teams with game play in the winter season. There will be no official record of scores or standings. Coaches must register their team. Open to competitive and recreational teams, the Youth Winter Indoor League games are played on Saturdays at Z-Sports in Greenwood and Lakeland Community Church in Lee’s Summit.

Youth Competitive & Academy – All players must attend Tryouts
For 2017-2018, Club fees of $150 per player will apply to all Sporting Lee’s Summit Academy and Competitive Players. (includes primary carding fee)
Sporting Lee’s Summit reserves the right to provide registration information to Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation and Sporting KC. Sporting LS Members may “opt out” of future notifications from either organization if contacted via email.
Team Registration – League Play –
Fall 2017 – Competitive Age Division will be determined by BIRTH YEAR according to US Soccer Age Matrix.

Sporting LS is a member club of the Heartland Soccer League. Our competitive teams and Academy teams will register for league play through the Heartland Soccer website. Registration for Fall Premier League opens on June 1, 2017 and team registration deadline is NOON on June 30, 2017.

New teams — supply team packet with USYSA Waiver and copy of birth certificate for each player in addition to emailed JPEG photo.
Payment of all club fees ($150 per player) and carding fees for coaches/managers/dual card players should be included in team packet with required documents.
Player’s primary card fee is included with club fee. Card fee is $20.00 per card for coaches and managers. ($10 for secondary player cards, if any)
Competitive Team Player and Coach registrations and fees are managed by each individual Competitive Team
Carding/Player Pass/Individual Registration — RETURNING Teams
Returning teams – Notify email@example.com of any players dropping from the team for 2017–2018. All NEW players need to submit a signed USYSA waiver and medical release and a copy of birth certificate in order to be added to the team, in addition to player photo.

Coach Background Check
All coaches (includes any assistant coach) that are listed on the roster must have the US Soccer “F” License (minimum requirement) and current background check through GotSoccer (This is done as a part of the MYSA or KSYSA carding process)
Soccer isn’t just for kids. Sporting Lee’s Summit has created a league just for adults. Now the kids get to do the coaching! Mom’s and Dad’s need to get outdoors too! No matter what your skill level or knowledge of the game Sporting LS has a place for you!
7 v 7: Indoor Adult league for those 35+ is a less competitive league.
All games are played on Sunday afternoons/evenings at Z Sports. Please note that this is a recreational league and behavior that is determined to be too aggressive will not be tolerated.
Dates: 3/4, 3/11, 3/25, 4/8, 4/15, 4/22
***Team requests will be honored in order of registration until 2/25. After that date teams will be filled from the draft. We will make every effort to accommodate team requests for registrations after 2/25 but they are not guaranteed.
11 v 11: This is a more competitive outdoor Adult league for those 18+.
All games are played on Sunday afternoons/evenings at Legacy Park. Please note that this is a recreational league and behavior that is determined to be too aggressive will not be tolerated.

Athletes with Special Needs
Toward its goal of providing a positive soccer atmosphere for all soccer athletes, Sporting Lee’s Summit has a soccer program for young athletes who are cognitively or physically challenged. Sporting Lee’s Summit will do their best to accommodate a variety of athletes with different ability levels.
There are no fees for this program; however, the program will be limited to the number of players it can accommodate (approximately 30).
