On February 3, 2018 the Kansas Youth Soccer Association & Heartland Soccer inducted Ron Cox into the Youth Soccer Hall of Fame at their Annual Awards Ceremony held at the Prairie Fire Museum in Overland Park, Kansas.

Ron Cox retired from coaching in 2017 after a distinguished twenty years coaching youth soccer in both Kansas and Missouri.  In 2016 Coach Cox surpassed the three-hundred wins plateau including an impressive all time winning percentage of (.839).

Highlights include Missouri Youth Soccer Association Coach of the Year in 2007 and US Armed Forces High School Coach of the Year in 2016.   Coach Cox’s teams won numerous local, state and national tournaments.  His former players have participated on the US National Team, and even played professionally in the United States and Europe.

When asked about his induction into the Hall of Fame Coach Cox responded, “I’m humbled that someone would even nominate me for this award.  I’m most excited about the accomplishments of all my players.  I’ve been fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with so many wonderful kids over the past twenty years.  Seeing my players graduate high school and now college makes me extremely proud” ….
